BEAUTY INSIDE AND OUT: 3 FOODS THAT GIVE YOU GLOWING SKIN!

We all want to look (and feel) the way we did the day he first told us he loved us – you remember – heart eyes, big smile, and of course, glowing skin! Imagine we can get those results without relying on a man? Hey Global Beauties, guess what, we can!

There are plenty of ways we can take care of our skin from the outside, but have we ever thought of the idea that we can actually treat and refresh our skin from the inside? I’m talking about food – food we understand and love – simple ingredients that nourish our skin to attain that lovely glow we’re all looking for and find out about apple cider vinegar skin benefits!

Here are 3 foods that you should eat when trying to make your skin glow:

1. Lemon Water:

Lemon water skin benefits

The benefits of lemon water (image Source) are substantial and they include: digestion-boosting, body detoxing, vitamin C boosting, rejuvenating skin, fat trimming, and energy boosting.

Lemon water helps rejuvenate skin through the antioxidants found in vitamin C. Vitamin C helps our skin get rid of fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and uneven skin tones – which will directly impact our skin’s hydration, leading to more glowy skin.

As you’ve read above, lemon water is not only wonderful for your skin, it’s wonderful for just about every part of your body – starting with boosting your digestive system. Considering lemon water is similar to our stomach juices, lemon water actually tricks our livers into producing bile – which helps food move through our bodies faster, according to Dr. Axe! The same concept goes for detoxing, as lemon water helps eliminate stomach aches. Lemon water is also great for weight loss because it subsides your hunger longer.

Something great to remember: replacing your morning coffee with lemon water will actually boost your energy without that nasty caffeine headache or crash that comes around lunchtime.

2. Bone Broths:

Bone Broths

In order to achieve flawless skin, we need a little something called collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein found in skin and other connective tissues. Collagen is also found in bones (image Source) – which makes bone broths something our skin wants a little more of. When cooking bone broths, the collagen breaks down and becomes more digestible. The liquid that seeps from the bones, the bone broth, is full of nutrients like collagen, calcium, and potassium.

All of the nutrients found in bone broth help nourish the body and skin because collagen helps eliminate wrinkles – leaving us with smoother, firmer, and younger-looking skin.

If you’re not much of a cook, or you’re a little too nervous to cook bones yourself – there’s a delicious health food company called Indie Fresh, in New York City, which serves freshly stewed bone broths all day.

Of course, if you’re a vegan or a vegetarian, bone broths may not be the skin glowing technique of your choice, but there’s always other options like lemon water and apple cider vinegar skin benefits.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar Skin Benefits

Apple Cider Vinegar (image Source) is a fascinating (and delicious- at least to me) liquid that helps eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. They say beauty comes from the inside, but why not put natural and organic ingredients, like apple cider vinegar, into our bodies to help make our outer selves more vibrant? Eating or drinking apple cider vinegar not only works towards achieving glowing skin, but it also helps get rid of stomach aches, whitens teeth, reduces bad breath, promotes weight loss, and soothes sore throats.

Aside from eating apple cider vinegar on your salads or quinoa to reap the benefits, you can also use it to cleanse or tone your face. We’ve talked about eating these (3) glow-inducing foods, so why not talk about applying apple cider vinegar directly onto your slightly-less glowy skin? Diluted apple cider vinegar still presents the same benefits as eating it, but put directly on the skin, it can also help eliminate acne or blemishes, remove toxins, and balance the pH level of your skin – on top of fighting aging lines as mentioned earlier. I will be covering more apple cider vinegar skin benefits in an upcoming beauty hack so stay tuned!

Glowing skin isn’t so hard (or expensive) to achieve after all! If we just take advantage of the pure and natural foods around us, we can have that absolutely flawless and glowing skin, without the butterflies in our stomach from our first love – because dating can be more difficult than achieving skin that glows, thanks to lemon water, bone broth, and apple cider vinegar.
